In the 900s, the Kingdoms of Burdundy and Provence united but were later absorbed by France and the HRE. We can debate whether or not they should be, but there is a historical connection even if they would not have had much in common with one another by that time.īurgundians - I am aware that in the game they also "kind of" represent the Dutch and Flemish but Burgundy did not gain the Low Countries until about a century later. Like before, I used a snapshot of around 1200 AD (eve of the Mongol invasion and the Fourth Crusade), the reason for that is so there is no overlap between territories which would make the map hard to read. So I created an updated version of the map from few years ago to include the new civs that have been added and the announced upcoming civs and made a few adjustments based on the feedback I received.
